Which Is The Real Jesus?

The Jesus of the Bible? Or The Jesus of the Qur'an?

The Place and Importance of Jesus

Ephesians 1:3-7 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

The following blessings are man's because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. The shedding of His blood was essential to make these blessings available to man. They are:

All spiritual blessings are in Jesus.

God's people are chosen in Jesus.

God's children are adopted through Jesus.

Men are made acceptable to God in Jesus.

Man's redemption is through Jesus' blood which was shed in the crucifixion.

Man's forgiveness of sin is through Jesus.

The teaching of Islam about Jesus denies the very nature of Jesus and makes the crucifixion of Jesus a fable. Compare the teaching of Islam with the teaching of the Bible and Jesus very own claims about himself.

Jesus Divine Nature

The Bible Tells Us That Jesus Is Self Existent, God

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God." John 1:1-3, KJV

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14, KJV

The Qur’an Tells Us That Jesus Was Created Like Adam.

Surely the likeness of Isa is with Allah as the likeness of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him, Be, and he was Qur'an 3:59. .

Jesus Claims Deity

The Bible Tells Us That Jesus Professes To Be Deity.

“But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.” John 5:17,18, KJV

“ I and my Father are one. Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God.” John 10:30-33, KJV

The Qur’an tells us that Jesus denies being deity and claims to be only an apostle.

O followers of the Book! do not exceed the limits in your religion, and do not speak (lies) against Allah, but (speak) the truth; the Messiah, Isa son of Marium is only an apostle of Allah and His Word which He communicated to Marium and a spirit from Him; believe therefore in Allah and His apostles, and say not, Three. Desist, it is better for you; Allah is only one God; far be It from His glory that He should have a son, whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His, and Allah is sufficient for a Protector. Qur'an 4:171

And when Allah will say: O Isa son of Marium! did you say to men, Take me and my mother for two gods besides Allah he will say: Glory be to Thee, it did not befit me that I should say what I had no right to (say); if I had said it, Thou wouldst indeed have known it; Thou knowest what is in my mind, and I do not know what is in Thy mind, surely Thou art the great Knower of the unseen things.
1 did not say to them aught save what Thou didst enjoin me with: That serve Allah, my Lord and your Lord, and I was a witness of them so long as I was among them, but when Thou didst cause me to die, Thou wert the watcher over them, and Thou art witness of all things. Qur'an 4:116.-117

The Hadith Also Teach That Jesus Was Created By Allah.

'You'd better go to Jesus, Allah's slave and His Apostle and His Word (Be: And it was) and a soul created by Him.'
Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 93, Number 507:

Jesus, The Creator

The Bible Teaches That Jesus Is Jesus Is Creator

“3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:3

“1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” Hebrews 1:1,2

The Qur’an teaches that Allah is the sole creator.

Blessed is He Who sent down the Qur’an upon His servant that he may be a warner to the nations;
He, Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Who did not take to Himself a son, and Who has no associate in the kingdom, and Who created everything, then ordained for it a measure. Qur'an 25:1-2

Jesus Accepted Worship

The Bible tells us that Jesus accepted worship from many.

Jesus accepted worship from a leper desiring healing

“1 When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. 2 And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. 4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.” Matthew 8:1-4,

Jesus accepted worship from the disciples on the sea of Galilee.

“33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.” Matthew 14:33

Jesus accepted worship from the women at the tomb.

“9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.” Matthew 28:9

Jesus was worshiped by the Demon In Gadara.

“1 And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. 2 And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3 Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: 4 Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. 6 But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, 7 And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not.” Mark 5:1-7

Jesus accepted worship from the healed blind man.

“35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? 36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? 37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. 38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.” John 9:35-38

The Qur’an teaches that Jesus denies he accepted worship.

Qur'an 5;116.

Jesus was crucified.

The Bible teaches that Jesus was crucified.

John's account, in John 19:14-20, is very clear.
“14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King! 15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar. 16 Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified. And they took Jesus, and led him away. 17 And he bearing his cross went forth into a place called the place of a skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: 18 Where they crucified him, and two other with him, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst. 19 And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. 20 This title then read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, and Greek, and Latin.”

Paul’s entire message was based upon the crucifixion of Jesus.

“For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2

The Qur’an denies the crucifixion of Jesus and argues that it was only someone who looked like Jesus that was crucified.

And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa son of Marium, the apostle of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so (like Isa) and most surely those who differ therein are only in a doubt about it; they have no knowledge respecting it, but only follow a conjecture, and they killed him not for sure. Qur'an 4: 157

Ahmed Deedat, in his book, Crucifixion or Crucifiction Published by Islamic Propagation Centre International, Madressa Arcade, Durban 4001, R.S.A.
1st print March 1984, P.9 argues
:

"In the battle for the hearts and minds of mankind, "cruci-FICTION" is the only card the Christian holds. Free him from his infatuation and you will have freed the Muslim world from missionary aggression and harassment.`

Jesus was resurrected from the dead!

The Bible teaches that Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day.

“3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: 6 After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. 7 After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. 8 And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-8

The Bible teaches that Jesus was raised and is now on the right hand of God.

“20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,” Ephesians 1:20,

Muhammad taught that Jesus never died, thus there was no resurrection.

Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 55, Number 657:
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Huraira added "If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- 'And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness Against them." (4.159) (See Fateh Al Bari, Page 302 Vol 7)

Jesus Is Sin Bearer

The Bible teaches that Jesus was God's sin offering for mankind.

“28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.” Hebrews 9:28

“24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24

The Qur'an teaches that there is no mediator, that each one will bear his own sins.

163. No associate has He; and this am I commanded, and I am the first of those who submit.
164. Say: What! shall I seek a Lord other than Allah? And He is the Lord of all things; and no soul earns (evil) but against itself, and no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another; then to your Lord is your return, so He will inform you of that in which you differed. Qur'an 6:163-164

Even A Muslim Will Be Judged By His Works.

Then as for him whose good deeds are preponderant, these are the successful.
And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell
The fire shall scorch their faces, and they therein shall be in severe affliction. Qur'an 23:102-104

Muhammad contradicted himself in the Hadith when he said that he could serve as a mediator for some in Hell Fire and take them to Paradise.

Volume 9, Book 93, Number 532 Narrated Anas:

The Prophet said, "The believers will be kept (waiting) on the Day of Resurrection so long that they will become worried and say, "Let us ask somebody to intercede far us with our Lord so that He may relieve us from our place. ... So they will come to me, and I will ask my Lord's permission to enter His House and then I will be permitted. When I see Him I will fall down in prostration before Him, and He will leave me (in prostration) as long as He will, and then He will say, 'O Muhammad, lift up your head and speak, for you will be listened to, and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted, and ask (for anything) for it will be granted:' Then I will raise my head and glorify my Lord with certain praises which He has taught me. Allah will put a limit for me (to intercede for a certain type of people) I will take them out and make them enter Paradise." (Qatada said: I heard Anas saying that), the Prophet said, "I will go out and take them out of Hell (Fire) and let them enter Paradise, and then I will return and ask my Lord for permission to enter His House and I will be permitted.

After studying the above comparisons between the teaching of the Bible and the teaching of Islam, you must come to a decision. If you believe the teaching of Islam, Jesus was a liar and a fake and is not worthy to be honored even as a prophet. If the teaching of the Bible is correct, you must reject the entire teaching of Islam.
